Some projects turn out even more beautiful in real life than in the renderings and make you feel extra proud to have played a part in them.

Such is the case with SAWA, the timber construction project our (former) colleague Jolien Dijkstra and colleague Thomas van Bergen worked on, commissioned by Focus on Impact. SAWA has become a new icon in Rotterdam’s already impressive skyline and has rightfully received more than 15 architecture awards. In just two weeks, all the greenery will be added, marking the true completion of SAWA.

The new tenants have been selected, and NICE Developers carefully prioritized residents moving from social housing and candidates in key professions, thereby safeguarding the ‘S’ in ESG. We have great respect and admiration for the parties that made SAWA possible, ERA Contour B.V., NICE Developers, and Focus on Impact and are once again grateful to have been able to act as advisors in this remarkable project.

We wish all future residents of the 50 mid-range rental apartments, 20 private-sector rental homes, and 39 owner-occupied apartments lots of happiness in their new homes!
